Domitor Conference in Utrecht (2004)

Central topic the 2004 conference was distribution. Although a topic central to early cinema, in fact a phenomenon produced by early cinema, academic attention has been scant and scattered. To focus interest in this topic, the conference gathered various scattered research areas and intends to stimulate further research.  Presentations were given by scholars from about a dozen different countries.

The 8th International Domitor conference was co-hosted by the Department of Media Studies of the University of Utrecht and the Nederlands Filmmuseum.
